Brazilian President Lula's top national security adviser, Gonçalves Dias, has resigned over a scandal related to his presence during the Jan. 8 storming of government buildings in the capital
Lula had chosen him, and he had been the former unionist's security chief during the 2022 presidential election.
So now Dias, who from the images is seen advising the hooded vandals as if he were working with them, risks arrest. Dias said the video shown by CNN Brasil is a montage, but only he believes it. Two more things:
