Artificially intelligent avatars Noah and Daren spread fake news in support of the Venezuelan government. More than just coordinated Twitter campaigns, social media banning, and mainstream media censorship, chavismo has now gone to the next step in its strategy of cleansing the collective brain. Artificial intelligence (AI) is being used for the first time to propagate false information, such as the claim that Venezuela has a thriving economy.
