Flavia Royón, the energy minister of Argentina, estimates that the project will cost at least 4 billion reais, or $0.8 billion. The shale gas-rich geological formation, often known as the "Vaca Muerta treasure," is regarded as the second-largest unconventional gas reservoir in the world.
