International Criminal Court prosecutor: "Maduro regime has launched a systematic plan to imprison and torture opponents."

Karim Khan refuted the Venezuelan dictatorship's arguments that it wants the ICC to drop investigations for crimes against humanity. "The victims were subjected to sexual abuse, beatings, drowning, and electric shocks," he said. Moreover, the Hague Court is not just targeting Maduro but the systematic plan ordered by the dictator and executed by a group of his officials with crucial decision-making positions in the Venezuelan state that killed more than 8,000 people between 2013 and 2017.
