Sergio Massa, a 50-year-old lawyer who, until yesterday, presided over the Chamber of Deputies, is a genuine tightrope walker in the bitter internal battle splitting Argentina's ruling party. He is now the new superminister of the economy. He succeeds Silvina Batakis, who held the position for just 24 days.
