Today is Peru's "March on Lima" to remove President Boluarte
The massive mobilization will strike the capital today to close parliament, toppling Boluarte's administration and calling for immediate elections
It aims to replicate the historic Four Suyo march that overthrew Fujimori in 2000. Thousands of Aymara and Quechua peasants are coming from the Andean south, mainly from Puno, Ayacucho, Apurimac, and Arequipa, where 49 people have already died in battles with the military forces, the majority of whom were members of Castillo's fiefdoms. The attempted attack on Puno's Juliaca airport, which resulted in 19 fatalities on Monday, was the bloodiest slaughter.
